A flash-flood warning is in impact for western and central districts of Barbados from 1:30 p.m. till 6 p.m. Saturday.
A flash-flood warning is issued when speedy flooding attributable to heavy or extreme rainfall in a brief time frame (usually lower than six hours) is going on or is imminent within the warning space.
Deep layered moisture, gentle winds and robust daytime heating are leading to localised exercise throughout some western and central districts.
Most rainfall accumulations of 25 to 50 mm in average to heavy showers are anticipated this afternoon.
The warning could also be discontinued sooner, if circumstances warrant. (PR/SAT)
