
The Nationwide Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Occasion (PDP) Senator Iyorchia Ayu has acknowledged he has no plans to resign.
He mentioned he won’t resign now or within the foreseeable future having been given a four-year mandate to guide the opposition celebration.
There was stress on Ayu to resign consistent with an alleged settlement he entered into previous to his emergence to step down if the presidential candidate emerges from the north.
Atiku Abubakar, the previous vp, secured the celebration’s presidential nomination, with Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike coming in second.
As a key want for supporting Atiku within the 2023 presidential election, the Wike camp has urged that Ayu’s resignation be accepted.
Nonetheless, in line with a tweet from his media assistant Simon Imobo-Tswam, Ayu declared he wouldn’t step down on Monday.
The tweet reads:
“The PDP Nationwide Chairman, Dr. Iyiochia Ayu, has not resigned and has no plan of resigning.
“For readability and emphasis, he was elected for a tenure of 4 years.”
